My Review

This book is being delivered soon! I’ll have a full review up as soon as I have had a full look through it! For now I’ve been having a look at the Sample Chapters, see below, and I’m liking the look of the book so far (The reason I bought it in the first place), and also because it’s Heinemann =D.  I especially like the way the book is set out, see contents list below. I am waiting for this book to be delievered! I will fully review it when I get it. I know this is going to be a good book, just from the Sample Chapters and the fact that Heinemann make some of the best IB Textbooks!

My Review

I don’t own this book, and therefore am unable to review it fully, but from the sample chapters I believe that it is a really good book that displays information really clearly and easily to understand.

I was really impressed with the History – Cold War book in the Heinemann Baccalaureate series and I think this book will be good also. I am going to buy the Higher Level version of the book soon.

This book will be fine for people doing Standard Level IB Biology but you will be better with the Biology Higher Level (Heinemann Baccalaureate),  Clegg and Oxford University Press books if you are doing Higher!

The book is usually around £22 or $32.

My Review

This is an amazing book that everybody in my history class loves.

The book contains a huge amount of information for you to use in the exam and a great deal more. The authors have made everything easy for you, with time lines at the start of each chapter and an overall timeline of pretty much everything at the end of the book. This is incredibly helpful for when you want to revise and for getting an overall view of how things happened and in which order they happened.

Another thing the book focuses on heavily is Historiography. For each topic there are views from world famous historians which will, if used in the exam, be sure to score you more marks. The book also includes some extracts from speeches and documents which were influential at the time. This includes Churchill’s Iron Curtain speech and the NSC68 document

This book will become your Cold War Bible. It has everything you need, and is a pleasure to read.

The book is not priced too heavily either, it’s available for £18 or $15.
