The book is way too basic. It gives you a lot of content but there is practically no analysis there. The historiography is flimsy at best, and doesn't add to your understanding of Cold War historiography. It's easy to flip through and get a very basic comprehension of what happened from 1945-1985 but really there are much better books out there. If you are writing essays, get your main understanding from this book, but getting a 6 by only reading this book is a push, and a 7 is not possible unless you read something more analytical.
