IB Revision – Useful Videos

I received an email today with some really great suggestions for websites that will be very useful for revision! Many thanks to Li for sending in the sites for me to share with all you guys here!

Chemistry Videos: ChemGuy – Contains video lectures for IB and AP. This does cost a donation of $10 to access the videos, and by watching one of his sample videos, it does seem worth it. I’ve not donated yet, so can’t comment, but if you have please leave a comment!

Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Physics, Economics & Business: Khan Academy- More video lectures for many subjects!

Hopefully you’ll all find the above websites to be of great use for your revision, I know I’m going to use them for my mocks and have bookmarked them for when I do my exams next year!

My Review

This is the book I’ve been waiting for since I discovered Biology for the IB Diploma by C.J Clegg last year. As per my review for the Biology book from the same publisher, I expect this book to be equally amazing. I’ve pre-ordered it and am counting down the days to its release!

The Biology book is everything one could want or need for their studies, and I expect this book to be exactly the same, if not better. I’ll provide a full review when I receive the book and have used it for a couple of weeks to get a good feel for it.

I am also waiting for this book to be delivered! I will write up my review it when it gets here. Take a look at the Sample Chapters and you’ll see why I’ve ordered it! I really like the Heinemann IB Books! Feel free to submit a review yourself if you have the book!

I’ve had this book for a few months now and feel it’s time to submit a review for it! It’s a very good book, everything is very clearly laid out and easy to take in. There are diagrams, tables and also little boxes throughout the book that prompt thought in the areas of Theory of Knowledge (Very useful for the ToK essay and ToK presentation).

Overall, I think that Heinemann / Pearson have done it again, producing a very high quality book that will be sure to help you through your IB Chemistry studies!

This book is due to be released within the next couple of weeks.

This book has been a long time coming! I own the standard level version on this book and it is fantastic! If this higher level book is anything like the standard level book (I’m very sure of this) then it’s going to be a very useful book with lots of great diagrams and a fantastic breakdown of content!

This book is available for £37.99 and is currently available to preorder until the release in the first week of September 2009 when it will be available for immediate dispatch. This maybe be a little more expensive than the other books, but it is sure to be a good investment into securing a very good grade for IB Chemistry, Higher.
